FAQS
WHY CHOOSE HAND-TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS?
BENEFITS AND USES EXPLAINED
Each strand of Vintage Glamour Hair Company Machine Wefts is hand-knotted to create a wide weft for the ideal combination of density and flexibility. The weft is thin by design, allowing you to combine multiple weft colors and lengths in one or multiple rows to create the perfect custom look. At each end of the weft is the weft tether—a combination of multiple nylon threads used as a base, visible 3” at each end.
HOW MANY GRAMS OF HAIR ARE IN ONE BOX OF HAND TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS
Other brands tend to sneak in shorter hairs to increase the grams, which won’t give your clients enough coverage—requiring more time blending and cutting uneven ends, especially for length. Vintage Glamour Hair Company gives you the maximum grams and length to keep your clients happy and investing.
Each weft is a continuous weft. The grams for one box are:
120 grams – 1 weft
MAXIMIZING VALUE: HOW MANY TIMES CAN HAND TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS BE REUSED
Vintage Glamour Hair wefts are reusable—you’ll get up to four uses with proper at-home care and salon-quality products. Each application lasts 6–8 weeks, aligning perfectly with your regular cut and color maintenance.
At-home care:
Only use products your salon professional recommends. We call this protection on your hair investment a Vintage Glamour Take-Home Kit, which includes a shampoo, thermal protectant, and hair extension brush. Use salon professional, non-hydrating, and color-friendly shampoos to prevent slipping or fading. Apply conditioner only mid-shaft to ends. Avoid moisturizing/oil-based products directly on the weft rows, which can loosen or cause shedding. If slipping occurs after the first shampoo, it may indicate an application error.
Allow extra drying time—dense weft rows hold more moisture, especially at the base. Thoroughly dry.
When using hot tools, section together natural hair with the extension hair. This blends texture and eliminates separation. Keep heat tools below 350°F.
Brush regularly to prevent tangles and keep hair looking and feeling beautiful.
Sleep with a silk pillowcase to help prevent tangling overnight.
Chlorine is not hair-friendly. Before swimming, apply leave-in conditioner to mid-to-ends and tie into a ponytail. No braids or tight styles while swimming.
Avoid sunscreens containing Avobenzone and Octocrylene—these can turn hair orange.
